Hi all.

Following a gentle push by someone, here is my version of Pan for a painting challenge / duel we had on DP ... quite some time ago. Sadly too much time went into the base and in the end Pan was painted in one day, but have a spare one for a 2nd try :D

A really cool mini which was a lot of fun to paint. As an artist, I'm always on the lookout for minis which have an inspirational effect beyond this hobby, and this one hits the nerve.

Thanks for looking :P (and sorry for my babbling)

The base is awesome! You blended the base he comes with seamlessly into a larger whole. The mushrooms are my favorite part.

Loved this when I saw it in the dragonpainting.net competition - thanks for posting here ;-)

althai is right - the base is great. Did you incorporate actual pieces of wood, or is it all sculpted?

Did you take any wip pictures?

cheers!

Hey thanks althai. The mushrooms are just Gstuff balls pressed flat on baking paper, then pinched onto wire when half cured. Took a while

@ Mike ... thanks for taking the time back then to judge. The split tree and the fallen one are real - which equals almost all the wood, except roots. Sculpting is alien to me  Only took 2 images of the WIP, unfortunately, and they only show me asking a buddy which fallen-tree look would suit best:

Thanks again for comments B)
